Medical issues often play a significant role in behavioral problems.
Our pets are masters at hiding illness, so even though they may not
seem to be obviously sick, they can have an illness or injury that
could be contributing to their behavior. Without treatment of an
underlying medical issue, the pets behavior may not completely
improve. Here are just a few examples of medical issues that can
cause behavioral problems:
i. Infections: Ear infections, abcessed teeth, urinary tract
infection etc.
ii. Metabolic: Hyper or hypothyroidism, Cushings Disease, Diabetes
melitis etc.
iii. Pain: Penetrating wound, impacted anal glands, bowel obstruction,
skin allergy etc.)
